"Coffee delivery!"

Kate used her foot to knock twice on the door. In her hands, she balanced a box filled with the necessary equipment. Freshly-ground coffee, a glass flask, a glass pitcher, and some filter papers. She had had half a mind to bring mugs but surely he would have those. If not, magic was a handy thing! Creating a mug wasn't that bad, right?

It wasn't as though Kate would be asking for something inconceivable. She had a basic idea of how magic worked thanks to Billy after all. It always all came with a price as most things did.

"Strange, open up! This box is stupid heavy and if I drop this coffee on the floor, you owe me, at least, forty bucks."

Maybe not exactly forty but close enough. Kate gave the door another light kick as if to make a point.

"Do you know how many people have tried to argue that dragons aren't reptiles and vice versa? Ridiculous, isn't it? I mean, my friend Bridgitte? She's a dragon. She didn't start that way, though. She was turned into one after a crazy scientist decided to turn women who rejected him into different creatures. Then there was Rebecca who is an Inhuman and also turns into a dragon."

Kate had been preparing the flask with a filter and stirring the coffee when she paused. The snort came without hesitation when she laughed. "Man, I know a lot of dragons, huh?" Among other non-human beings. She probably knew an entire menagerie.

"And while I know dragons, I didn't know if mugs were in your cabinet of belongings. You could be one of those people who drink tea from styrofoam cups." Which he wasn't, Kate knew. One didn't even need to assume. It was just known. Unlike Kate not owning any decent mugs. That was on the list, though.

"What about pop tarts? Are you a fan?"
