"So when I worked here they had this mango fruit blast thing that was awful, but they made us try to upsell it to everyone who walked through the door. People don't go out for ice cream to get fruit in a cup. I think I want triple chocolate and mint chocolate chip, how about you, Peanut?" Scott smiled at Cassie as they waited in line to pick ice cream flavors. His phone buzzed and he looked down, making a face at the message from Stark, then glanced around the store at the happy people eating ice cream. No trouble here, he thought, but flicked on the ant communicator behind his ear, just in case.

They stepped up to the counter and he gestured for Cassie to order first, when he heard a scream behind him. He whirled toward the sound, to find a creepy doll in overalls and a stitched up face holding an old lady at knife point.

Heart pounding in his throat, Scott tried to keep his cool. He had seen what Pym particles had done to Darren Cross's sense of morality first hand, while that asshole was trying to slice Cassie open with a laser. Hank wouldn't even consider putting on a suit anymore because he was afraid of any additional exposure even with the protection of a helmet, since it had taken him so long to perfect it.

And now the most important person in his world, the tiny peanut he was trying to make the world a better place for, was going giant man woman in a fucking Baskin Robbins. With no helmet... or suit. Scott nearly forgot that he was in the middle of a horror movie battle, because the real horror was the fact that his kid might literally be working on breaking her damn brain right now and he had no idea how it was happening. Maybe she's a mutant, like that girl in the comic book with Apocalypse whose brother flies with farts, he thought hopefully, then reminded himself that he needed to defeat the stupid dolls before he could figure out how to get his kid back to life-size.

"Anyone remember how they killed this bastard?" he yelled, punting Chucky into the wall before he could reach the knife on the floor and picking up the knife himself to secure it. "You," he said to the customer nearest Tiffany's knife. "Pick that up before they get it back."

"Decapitate him, Dad! Then through the heart!" Cassie was starting to shrink now that the person behind the counter was no longer in immediate danger.

"I'm going to go straight for the kill shot," Scott shouted back as the doll stood back up and a demonic voice said "I'm Chucky, wanna play?"

He couldn't help but think of Hope's first lesson on the physics of momentum and how the particles worked on his density. Like a bullet... he reminded himself starting out at a sprint and shrinking to bullet-size as her launched himself at Chucky....

And flew out the other side, puffs of stuffing filling the air around him as he went back to normal size, slowing himself down. The doll toppled onto its back, a gaping hole through his body, and the eyelids on the creepy doll eyes slid shut.

There was an ear piercing scream from across the store as Tiffany leaped off the counter, ready to take revenge.

Cassie knew her dad was worried about her and didn't want to distract him so it was good she was normal sized again. "Dad!" She called. "Behind you!"

Scott turned, shrinking and dodging at the same time. He really needed a well trained Carpenter Ant in this moment, but unfortunately, he had only had a few days with the ants of this reality. He let Tiffany sprint past him on her little doll legs, and grew back to full-size behind her. He reached for the knife on the counter and lunged, stabbing it through her heart.

The bride doll immediately toppled over, becoming inanimate again. "Is everyone okay?" Scott asked, popping open his helmet.

"Dad!" Cassie ran over to her father and hugged him tightly. "You are my hero."
