"You think she might end up here?" Peter studied Tony's face, "I thought I'd never see Gamora again. It was bad." He took another drink, "I did shit I regret, so if you need anything... I'm around."
Peter looked over where Gamora held Groot, they weren't okay yet, but he thought they might be started that direction, "Gamora usually tries to get to the dangerous shit before I do, it's like her thing." He lowered his voice a little, "We need to talk about Thanos. We need a plan."
Tony's eyes followed to where Peter glanced and couldn't help smiling. Baby Groot was too cute to resist. However, he turned serious when Quill mentioned Thanos. "You mean if the bastard comes through the portal?" He didn't think Morgan or the kid would appreciate him killing himself again so they definitely needed a Plan B.
"One sec....." Peter turned and called out to Groot, "That seagull was not talking smack about you. Don't make me come over there."
Turning back to Tony, he said, "Sorry about that. Man, your kid ever go through a phase where they were fucking adorable and also kind of evil?"
"I don't want to be a buzzkill, but I think we need to get everyone with combat experience around a table and make a plan for Thanos....or whatever other evil motherfuc....." He glanced over at Gamora and Groot, realized that both had excellent hearing and then finished, "mother hugger thinks they can take us on."
Tony smirked. "Oh, yeah, Morgan has a good handle on that cute, but deadly thing." Took after Pepper and Tony. She was bound to have adorable trouble-maker down. He grew serious as they discussed the giant, purple grape. "Something tells me your girl will want first crack at him," Tony pointed out, "but you are right. We've been lucky so far..."
"Yeah. He's going through a phase where he thinks everything remotely close to his size is talking smack at him. I think he got that from Rocket."
Peter looked over at Gamora, he wanted to keep her as far from Thanos as possible, "Yeah. She will. Which is why we need a plan." Actually, I need two plans. One for Thanos and one to keep Gamora from going after him, he thought as he took a drink.
"I still have the stones," Tony replied. "We are only really fucked if he comes through from the time he has the stones too." He kept his voice low. "Or if he comes through with his army, but the portal doesn't seem to spit that many people out." They had that much going for them. "We can kill him if he doesn't have the stones." And hopefully not die too.
Peter looked at Tony a little incredulously, "Yeah. Do you think that stopped him from wiping out Gamora's people?" He remembered how hard it had been for him when Gamora had been missing and he hadn't known when or if he would ever see her again. The only thing that had been worse was knowing that she was dead.
"Tony, those stones are a flashing red sign screaming c'mon and get me, you having them all in one place means it's one stop shopping at the world annihilators superstore. We're gonna need a plan. Probably more than one of them." Peter stopped and said, "Never mind man, I'll make the plan. That way it'll be good."
Grinning at Tony, Peter said, "I better get going. Thanks for the food!"
Tony was about to counter Quill's declaration, but the man was already on his way off. "The S.O.B. did it again," Tony muttered, half amused, half irritated, before he too went to search out other residents.
