What: Attack the cloverfield monster

When: Just after Tony's message comes through
Status: Complete
Warnings: The mouth on this boy. The f-bomb has been deployed.
After answering Tony's net post, Peter had gone to the weapons locker, planning to join them at the Portal entrance. He'd just holstered his element guns, selected a number of grenades that were guaranteed to not blow off his junk and shoved His arms into his jacket, when he heard the comm unit explode with the sounds of panic.
He caught the words monster and Statue of Liberty and realized that the cape crowd was going to have to manage the portal without them. Peter hit the button on his personal comm, "Gamora, what's your ETA? Have you seen Groot?"
He began the pre-flight systems check, hearing the whine of the engines coming online and flipped the weapons system to hot standby.
